Buying on SurfTrade is easy and fun! Here are a few basic steps to get you started:

Find an item.
You can search SurfTrade for the item you're interested in one of three (3) ways:

1. typing the key word or words into the Quick Find box at the top of each page; or
   
   
2. use the ' Advanced Search' feature by clicking on the Advanced Search link below the Quick Find box on each page; or
   
   
3. browse through the categories from the Home page.

Ask the Seller a Question.
If you find an item that you would like to learn more about, you can ask the seller about the item by simply clicking on the 'Ask Seller a Question' link.

Review the Seller Rating.
You can review the Seller's Rating by clicking on the Sellers Rating link at the top of the Detailed Ad page. You can also read the comments made by the seller's previous buyers to be sure that this is a seller you feel you can trust.

Bid or Buy It Now.
Some items are sold in auction-style listings that require you to place a bid, whilst others use the Buy It Now option, allowing you to buy the item instantly. Buy It Now can be used alone or in conjunction with an auction-style listing. Check the item page to see what purchase options are available to you. Once you've found and reviewed the item you want, you can place a bid or purchase the item instantly using Buy It Now.

Pay for the item.
After you've won or purchased the item, you will need to communicate with the seller to organise postage and payment. Check the seller's listing or email them to find out what the preferred payment method is and where you should send your payment. You can email your seller at any time by clicking on the 'Ask Seller a Question' link from the listing page.

Rate the Seller. 
Rating a Seller is the best way to tell the SurfTrade community about your experience with this seller. You should leave a comment that is true to your experience. You can leave feedback for any eBay member you've bought from or sold to.
